There are mainly 3 types of common boxes used in packaging.
- Rigid boxes
- Corrugated boxes
- Foldable boxes
These types of boxes are used for packaging different types of materials like glass bottles – so that they don’t break while transferring them from one place to another. Many items like showpieces, decorative items, crystal glasses, various types of electronic appliances like LED Televisions, Refrigerators, Air conditioners and the list goes on.
For packing of all these items, there is just one thing that is common in all types and that is a Carton [กล่องกระดาษ, which is the term in Thai]. Carton is the only thing that is used in the packaging of all items. If it is not used inside, then It will be used for packaging the outside part as it protects from breaking of items inside.
Cartons are also of many types-
There is a five-panel wrap carton box, which has five panels or sides. It is a large cardboard box which is bent to create 5 panels. It is made from a single cardboard box. These boxes usually have a long length and shorter breadth so as to pack long length sized objects such as cricket bat, badminton racquets, squash racquets, golf sticks, tennis racquets, wickets used in cricket and etc.
Then there are nested trays which helps in saving space of the desk. These are normally open boxes, which means that they are open from the top and are easy to use as they are in the shape of a tray. These are often used and are in high demand in offices and workplaces where the room is congested and there is a very little to no room available. These are also used in keeping magazines, newspapers, documented products which are normally found in receptions or waiting rooms.
